Professor Dr. Saima Gillani is a distinguished pediatrician based in Abbottabad, Pakistan, currently serving as the Chairperson and Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Ayub Medical College. In her academic role, Dr. Gillani has made significant contributions to pediatric research, authoring numerous publications that address critical child health issues. Her research encompasses a range of topics, including the etiology of severe protein-calorie malnutrition among hospitalized children, the role of BCG vaccination in preventing childhood tuberculosis, and childhood diabetes.
